What this service is
Plastic headlight lenses oxidize over time — they go from clear to hazy yellow, and they cut down how much light actually reaches the road at night. Headlight restoration is a multi-step sand-and-polish process that removes the oxidized layer and finishes with a clear UV sealant so the cloudy look doesn't come back as fast. It's one of the highest-value standalone jobs we do: a couple hundred bucks of car care that genuinely makes the car safer to drive at night and look five years younger.

Headlights questions
The questions we get most about the headlight restoration.
How long does the restoration last?+
With a UV seal applied at the end, you usually get 18-24 months of solid clarity before the haze starts coming back. Without that final seal, oxidation comes back in months. We always finish with the seal.
Will this work on every car?+
It works on the vast majority of plastic headlights. If a lens has internal damage, deep cracks, or the haze is on the inside of the lens (uncommon but it happens), restoration won't fix it and you'd want a replacement. We'll tell you straight up if we don't think the job is worth doing.
How much will the night visibility improve?+
On a heavily oxidized set of headlights, the difference at night is significant — drivers regularly tell us it feels like the headlights got brighter, even though it's actually the lenses letting more light through.
Is it cheaper to do this myself with a kit?+
DIY kits work for a while but most skip the UV seal step or use a weak version of it, so the haze comes back fast. Our process uses a longer-lasting seal and does both lights professionally in under an hour. For a one-time fix that actually holds, the price difference is small.
