Ceramic Coating
A long-term protective layer for your paint. Once it's cured, water beads off, dirt has a harder time sticking, and washing the car gets faster. Available in 1-, 3-, and 5-year coatings.
What this service is
A ceramic coating is a clear, glass-like layer that bonds to your paint and protects it for years. It's a step up from a wax or sealant — instead of measuring protection in weeks or months, you measure it in years. Once cured, the coating gives the paint a deep gloss, makes water bead and run off, and keeps contaminants like bug splatter and tree sap from etching into the clear coat. We do the prep ourselves: a Full Detail, a clay decontamination pass, and a polish step before the coating goes on. Tier choice depends on how long you keep your cars and how much protection you want.

FAQ
Ceramic Coating questions
The questions we get most about the ceramic coating.
What's the actual difference between ceramic coating and a wax?+
Wax is a sacrificial layer that washes off in weeks. A ceramic coating chemically bonds to the clear coat and stays there — measured in years, not weeks. The coating is harder, more chemical-resistant, and gives a stronger water-beading effect that lasts the full life of the product.
How do I pick between the 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year tiers?+
If you tend to trade cars every few years or you want to try a coating without committing to the full cost, the 1-year is a good entry point. If you keep cars long-term and park outside, the 5-year makes the most sense per dollar. The 3-year is the popular middle.
Does a ceramic coating prevent scratches?+
It adds some scratch resistance — light wash-induced swirls become much less common. It is not a force field, though. Rocks, shopping carts, and keys can still scratch a coated car. Think of it as a much more durable layer of protection, not as armor.
How do I wash a coated car?+
Same two-bucket hand wash, gentle pH-neutral soap, and a clean microfiber drying towel. Skip tunnel washes with stiff brushes. We can recommend products to keep at home, or you can stay on a regular wash schedule with us.
Why is this by appointment only?+
A ceramic coating is a full-day job and the coating needs to cure in a controlled environment overnight. We schedule these specifically rather than fitting them into a normal route, which lets us give the prep work the time it needs.
